July 12th 2026 was the second leg of the Big Boy's America 250 Train Tour in Ohio as it routes it way back to Cheyene, Wyoming. Stopping in Struthers, OH near Youngstown. Per Union Pacific Railroad, the Big Boy is the largest in use steam locomotive.
Some Fun Facts about Big Boy No. 4014:
• The first of the 25 Big Boys was delivered to Union Pacific in 1941
• It was primarily used for heavy freight service across the western United States, mainly to support World War 2
• The Big Boy is 133 feet long and weighs 1.2 million pounds
• After restorations in 2013, No. 4041 was returned to service in 2016
